Sun. January 17th-FINA Meeting Results include new Masters suit regulations.
By the conclusion of the FINA bureau meeting this past weekend in Bangkok, Thailand, the final nail was put in the coffin of the polyurethane tech suits when Masters swimming regulations were brought in line with the rest of the worlds’ elite swimmers.

Sun. December 20th-**BREAKING NEWS**-American Records After October 1st in Tech-Suits Won't Be Ratified by USA-Swimming
A USA-Swimming official said yesterday that American Records set in the high tech suits that were banned by USA-Swimming on October 1st won't count, even if they were swum in another country where they were still allowed.

Fri. December 18th-Americans Take Control at Day 1 of Duel on 5 WRs
The United States has jumped out to a commanding lead over the European E-Stars on both the men’s and women’s side after the first session of competition on the first day of the 2009 Mutual of Omaha Duel in the Pool. The American men lead 48-13 and the women lead 41-20.

Wed. December 16th-UPDATE: E-Stars announced for 2009 Duel in the Pool
Great Britain, Italy, and Germany have announced their contingent that will be competing at the 2009 Mutual of Omaha Duel in the Pool. This year's competition will pit the United States against a team of European All-Stars. Among the group swimming for Europe are NCAA champion and World Record holder Gemma Spoforth, and World Record Holders Steffen Deibler and Federica Pellegrini.

Wed. December 9th-Lochte Ends Phelps' 2-Year Reign as Swimmer of the Year
In a matchup perhaps as highly anticipated as any they’ve had in the pool, Ryan Lochte out-touched Michael Phelps and Aaron Piersol to win Male swimmer of the year at the 2009 USA Swimming Foundation Golden Goggle Awards.

There were 5 World Records broken in Moscow, Russia in the second meet of the 2009 FINA World Cup. American Jessica Hardy was the meet winner on the women's side, and South African Cameron van der Burgh led the way on the men's side.
