Dan H. from Austin, Texas is a swimming parent and Masters swimmer. His three children all swam summer league, beginning in 1997. His children continued on to participate in year round swimming for a combined 18 years in several Austin area USA-Swimming club programs. Two of his children competed in 4A high school swimming earning multiple medals at the 4A State meet. His oldest son continued swimming after high school at the NCAA Division 1 level. His daughter is a high school and club diver.

Dan was a high school swimmer (a long time ago!) and resumed swimming five years ago for fitness reasons. He competes 2-3 times per year, now in the 50-54 age group. Dan competed at the 2006 Masters World Championships in Palo Alto and the 2008 Masters Short Course Nationals in Austin. Dan and his wife are still active supporters of high school swimming and diving.
