LOS ANGELES
– NOVEMBER 17, 2009 – Universal Sports will provide LIVE coverage
of the final portion of the FINA/ARENA World Cup, starting Saturday
from Singapore, Singapore. Taking place in five cities on three continents, UniversalSports.com will feature on-demand coverage of this
major short-course (25m) competitive circuit.
Fans can tune in to UniversalSports.com
to watch top swimmers from around the globe compete in the final of
five events for the 2009 FINA/ARENA World Cup series. The short course
competitions will be intense as some of the sport’s most notable athletes
come together to duel for a substantial monetary purse. Top U.S. athletes
Peter Marshall (currently in third) and Jessica Hardy (currently in
first), have lined themselves up well for a shot at the prize money.
Major international swimmers that will also look to be taking home some
hardware and prize money include Cameran Van der Burgh of South Africa
(currently in first) and South African Roland Schoeman (currently 2nd)
of the men’s side; with Australian Marieke Guehrer (currently third)
and Therese Alshamar of Sweden (currently second) for the women’s
side.
