– NOVEMBER 2, 2009 – Universal Sports will provide coverage
of the second portion of the FINA World Cup, starting Friday from Moscow,
Russia. Taking place in five cities on three continents, UniversalSports.com will feature on-demand coverage of this
major short-course (25m) competitive circuit.
Fans can tune in to UniversalSports.com
to watch top swimmers from around the globe compete in the second of
five events for the 2009 FINA World Cup series. The short course competitions
will be intense as some of the sport’s most notable athletes come
together to duel for a substantial monetary purse. Top U.S. athletes
Peter Marshall (currently in first place), Jessica Hardy (currently
in second place), and Whitney Meyers will be in attendance to continue
their success in the series. Major international swimmers include
Australian Marieke Guehrer, Swedish Olympian Stefan Nystrand and teammate
Therese Alshamar (currently in first), and Cameran Van der Burgh of
South Africa (currently in third).
